Once a Speech to Knowledge (STK) session has been recorded or imported, it remains accessible in your STK dashboard. From here, you can manage session information, organize and clean up your knowledge library, and edit key metadata to ensure your content remains useful and retrievable for the long term.
Where to Find Your STK Sessions #
Go to the STK section from the left-hand side menu in xBlock. The main dashboard displays all previously created or imported STK recordings.
Each item in the list includes:
- Title of the session
- Date and time
- Language used
- Duration
- Status (e.g., “Recording,” “Processing,” “Ready”)
- Quick access to key actions
Actions Available from Each STK Tile #
When you click the three-dot ⋯ options menu next to a session, you’ll see:
- Edit Session Info – Opens a full form to update details (see below)
- Delete Session – Removes it permanently (with confirmation)
- Open Recording – Launches the full detail view with transcript, export, and document tools
Editing STK Info – Full Breakdown #
You can change or update the following fields at any time:
- Title – Rename to reflect session content
- Language – Update if auto-detected language was incorrect
- Category & Subcategory – Organize the session contextually (e.g., Podcast > Customer Interviews)
- Purpose – Describe the intent of the recording (internal notes)
- Tags – Help future searches within xBrain
- Add to My xBrain – Make this session’s content queryable via xBrain
- Add to Report – (Coming Soon) Include this session in automated briefings
Note:
Some fields like speakers or timestamps cannot be changed manually but are updated automatically after diarization.
Document Management #
All exports created from the STK appear in the Documents tab:
- You can open, rename, translate, delete, or export them.
- If added to xBrain, they appear as new Blocks.
Tip:
Use consistent titles and tag logic so teams can later search STK content across categories (e.g., all “Verbal SOPs”).
Deleting STK Sessions #
If a session is no longer needed:
- Click the ⋯ menu
- Select Delete
- Confirm deletion in the popup
Warning:
This action is irreversible and will remove all related documents, transcripts, and analysis tied to the session.
Why Good STK Management Matters #
Managing your STK sessions helps your knowledge base stay organized, accurate, and secure. STK content is often critical institutional knowledge—make sure it’s well-labeled, categorized, and easy to retrieve.
Example:
Rename “Recording 5” to “2025 Onboarding – Sales Team” Assign tags like training, sales, onboarding Export a Checklist, Guide, and Training Material Now, any new hire or manager can query xBrain with: “What’s the onboarding checklist for sales?”
